This planning guide was developed to facilitate preparedness planning efforts among community-based organizations that serve and support vulnerable populations. The guide includes basic education on pandemic influenza and some specific information on the novel H1N1 pandemic, continuity of operations (COOP) planning assumptions, roles and responsibilities of CBO staff, a guide to prioritizing services, a discussion on essential suppliers, and staff protection. A list of local contacts is provided in the first section to illustrate types of valuable partners. This list would need to be revised by organizations outside of Hennepin County. By completing the templates in this guide, CBOs can significantly advance their planning.
